Arianna Knapp

Arianna Knapp

Producer

Arianna Knapp has been immersed in the arts all her life. The first five years of her career were spent exploring Shakespeare’s canon, and the next twenty years have been spent in musical theater. No matter what the genre, though, it all comes down to collaborative storytelling.

Her professional career started as Stage Manager with touring productions of Fiddler on the Roof, Gypsy, and Little Shop of Horrors. After two years as Company Manager at North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, MA, Arianna arrived in New York City and became Assistant to Fran Weissler, producer of Broadway’s Falsettos, My Fair Lady, and Grease. In 1994, she managed a five-city tour of the new musical Lunch, which reunited her with Jon Kimbell, Executive Producer at North Shore Music Theater. After the tour completed, she returned to NSMT as Associate Producer.

It was then that the development of new works became Arianna’s passion. With successful productions of Lunch, Abyssinia, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (Hall/Levy) on the main stage, Kimbell and Knapp introduced a New Works development program.
Because of Arianna’s unique expertise, SenovvA has expanded her Producer role to include specific General Management duties, consulting on all levels of the daily hands-on participation, from concept to performance. Arianna crisscrosses the country discovering new artists and designers to work with, developing new works and reinventing how theatrical stories are produced.

With SenovvA, she is able to bring her theatrical and production expertise together to create and produce for the stage with 21st century resources. She is currently Associate Producer on the new Green Day musical American Idiot.
