The Fortress of Solitude was a new musical at The Public Theater in downtown New York that opened to audiences October 21, 2014. SenovvA supported Jeff Sugg’s projection design that included Christie and Panasonic projectors. SenovvA’s Theatrical Technician, Andy Kulhay was on site with the show, which was extended for an extra two weeks due to popular demand.
The play is a moving story of two friends growing up in Brooklyn in the 70’s and is based on the award-winning novel of the same name by Jonathon Lethem. Music from Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson’s composer Michael Friedman is also featured in the show.
The Fortress of Solitude collaboration follows our work with the Public/New York Shakespeare Festival’s production of King Lear in Central Park.
“It’s great to see Jeff’s work again, and it’s a real joy to be involved with the team that has brought this show together,” said SenovvA’s Arianna Knapp.
