“Maryland Public Television was thrilled and the show was very well received. Its always my pleasure to work with you guys!!” – Kathy Erickson, dcp
The two-hour television event was rebroadcast live for the west coast; hosts John Lithgow and Jordin Sparks welcomed Broadway’s Kristen Chenoweth, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge, celebrated mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves-Montgomery, country group Little Big Town, American a cappella group Pentatonix, legendary singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson, Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Kenny Rogers, multi-platinum Grammy award-winning band Train and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
After consultation with the design team, SenovvA brought in five walls of Winvision LED display, including three 8mm center sections for the best “on camera” reproduction, and flanked by two walls of 18mm on the sides allowing the audiences on the pier to get their own full-blown experience. SenovvA Project Manager, Rob Ingram collaborated with dcp’s Kathy Erickson to create a seamless wraparound design that enhanced and informed the performances and immersed the live audience. SenovvA mapped the virtual scenery with high-resolution images from the performers, the harbor, the tall ships, Ft. McHenry, and, of course, the fireworks. SenovvA staff included Tim Morin, Joe Sebenius and Sean Kelly.
