This fundraising special, which aired in September 2008, made broadcast history. It was the first time that the three major networks simulcast a program without commercials. SenovvA was engaged by producer Michael Seligman to provide visually stunning LED and projection systems for the broadcast.
SenovvA provided 488 Barco i6XP panels, configured into two large display walls. The main LED wall was 13 panels tall by 27 panels wide (19’3″ x 39’6″) and the downstage LED wall was 13 panels tall by 10 panels wide (19’3′ x 14’6″). A continuous image was presented across the two wall sections using three Barco DX700 Processors. This was the largest LED wall that has been installed in the Kodak Theatre to date.
In addition to the LED display walls, SenovvA provided six DPI 28SX projectors, and four Barco FLM HD18 projectors, as well as custom Stewart Film Screens for downstage, house, and front high-definition projection screens.
