Senior Technical Director Dave Taylor led the SenovvA team, providing LED and Projection services for the 26th Annual Kids Choice Awards telecast LIVE from USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles. The colorful multi-screen stage consisted of a 41′ x 23′ center projection screen, flanked by two 11′ x 20′ side screens. The show incorporated a LIVE Twitter stream on a 50′ x 2′ LED ribbon behind the presenter podiums. Above the stage seven 40mm Martin LED tiles were added for extra accent effects. SenovvA also provided additional plasma monitors for a secondary commentator platform as well as on each side of the stage. Unique among award shows, SennovA made special preparations to protect all onstage gear from hundreds of gallons of liquid “slime” that shot as high as 35 feet, all part of the fun that makes the show appealing to kids everywhere. The show was a slime-tastic extravaganza watched by more than 12 million total viewers, which translated into 25 different languages. Nickelodeon Network posted double-digit gains with its core audience for the show and closed the week with its highest ratings of the year.
