AMPAS Oscar Broadcast 2009

Frank McMinn and Dave Taylor are key members of the technical design team for the Oscar broadcast. They work closely with the production designers to implement their vision of innovative video elements into the broadcast.

SenovvA partnered with David Rockwell of The Rockwell Group to create a unique video set for the 2009 Academy Awards Oscar® Telecast. The Academy Awards set design, created by the New York-based Rockwell Group, called for multiple LED panels that could be re-configured from scene to scene. SenovvA worked directly with Rockwell to translate their concepts into physical elements that could be designed, moved, and filled with high-resolution video.

SenovvA’s Dave Taylor, Chief Technical Producer, and Frank McMinn have been an integral part in the Oscars® Telecast for over 20 years. In 2006, SenovvA translated the art directors’ design vision into a one-of-a-kind, custom built convex movie marquee over the stage incorporating a dynamic LED display.
