37th Annual Auction Napa Valley

Auction Napa Valley was founded in 1981 by a small group of winery owners and has become the world’s most celebrated charity wine event. In October of 2016 Auction Napa Valley and Napa Valley Vintner’s Director of Special Events, Kevin King, chose 37th Annual Auction Napa ValleySenovvA to produce the Live Auction Celebration at their weekend-long charity fundraiser. SenovvA collaborated with iNTRINSIC and Jenna Lam Events to provide production expertise for the prestigious auction held on the grounds of Meadowood Napa Valley resort on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

SenovvA was on-site to coordinate and execute every detail of the elaborate, large-scale event. The program began with a welcome reception and lot preview for 2,000 guests including vintners, foodies, wine lovers, Michelin-starred chefs, and celebrities of all types held under a grand floral-themed decorated tent. The evening continued in the main tent that featured the event’s influential live auction. After the auction 900 special guests continued outside where rumored to 37th Annual Auction Napa Valleyhave rolled the gnocchi himself dinner was served al fresco overseen by Francis Ford Coppola. The event concluded with an after party where guests were welcomed back inside to enjoy live entertainment by soul singer and songwriter Leon Bridges and his six-piece band.

iNTRINSIC, a division of SenovvA, designed the main tent stage while working closely with Jenna Lam Events who provided the live auction area design. Through this collaborative design effort guests were transported back to the glitz and glamor of the Golden Era of Hollywood. This dramatic transformation was complete with a live jazz band, flapper dancers, and tiered crystal chandeliers. “The design and overall feel of the event was exactly what we set out to create and most importantly the guests loved it”, stated Todd Walton, Managing Partner, iNTRINSIC.

In addition to producing the event, SenovvA and iNTRINSIC provided staging which included audio, video display, lighting and rigging. The large upstage screen displayed IMAG of presenters and performers as well as produced video content and slide packages of available lots for bid that created a one-of-kind experience for attendees.

Auction Napa Valley celebrated its 37th anniversary this year with investing over $170 million in Napa County nonprofit organizations. To create an impeccable event SenovvA and its partners were tasked with logistics, tent installation, power distribution, setup of all technical aspects, show operation and crowd logistics. SenovvA Vice President Arianna Knapp said, “We wanted the Vintner’s Association to be proud of their event and enjoy themselves. In order to accomplish that it takes a full team of seasoned technical professionals working cohesively.” Auction Napa Valley raised over $15 million this year, with proceeds benefitting local Napa County community health and children’s education nonprofits. “SenovvA was thrilled to be a part of it, and proud to provide world-class production service to the organization as they fund their mission,” said Arianna.
